Even we aren't entirely sure whether the Hungarian blues-musical theatre genre previously existed. One thing we do know, however, is that it is sure to become far more popular now Árpád Szerda has written a musical that will undoubtedly win many people over to this almost classic genre. Though Hans in Luck is one of the Grimm Brothers' lesser known tales, its humour and wisdom means it deserves to be counted among their finest. This play created from the story is truly original and could well be the forerunner of something utterly new. In addition to the enjoyable story, this entertaining performance will also showcase the characteristic styles and sounds of blues music, musical improvisation and human foolishness.
