Sámuel Baló studied jazz piano in Graz, an institution (Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Graz) whose main profile is the high-level teaching of mainstream jazz. However, his teacher, Olaf Polziehn, placed at least as much emphasis on conveying an approach that teaches openness, overcoming prejudice against genres. Sámuel Baló synthesizes these experiences in compositions in which the elements of hardbop and modal jazz form an organic unity with Hungarian folk music motifs. With his trio formed in the spring of 2020, in which Richter Ambrus plays drums and Márk Miskolczi on double bass, they present Samu’s own compositions at their concert in Opus. In 2021, they also won two awards at the "Jazz Showcase" organized by Müpa, winning the approval of a jury of international members.

Ritka magyar – gálaest a Müpában Kallós Zoltán születésének 100. évfordulója alkalmából Vannak esték, amelyek nem egyszerűen előadások, hanem közösségi események: találkozások egy életművel, egy szellemiséggel, egymással. A Ritka magyar című folklór gálaest ilyen alkalom. A Müpa színpadán megvalósuló ünnepi esttel Kallós Zoltán, a 20. századi magyar néprajz, népzene- és néptánckutatás meghatározó alakja előtt tisztelgünk születésének 100. évfordulóján.
Macskabál van az elhagyott színház ódon színpadán. Minden évben egyszer megrendezik a bált, és erre összegyűlnek a környék - nagyon is emberi tulajdonságokkal felruházott - macskái. Eltáncolják és eldalolják életüket.
