A 2001-ben alapított, sokszínű, sokféle műfajra és stílusra nyitott Accord Quartet nemcsak a klasszikus kamarazenei repertoárban mozog otthonosan, de szívesen próbálják ki magukat akár a kísérleti opera, akár a könnyebb műfajok világában is. A nagyközönség a vonósnégyest mégis leginkább a modern zene iránti elkötelezettségéről ismeri, hiszen számos olyan művet mutattak be, melyeket kifejezetten az együttes számára komponáltak.
A Bartók Béla utáni zene világszerte legismertebb három komponistája, Ligeti György, Kurtág György és Eötvös Péter vonósnégyesre írt műveiből összeállított koncerten nemcsak a három alkotó egymásra reflektáló világa tárul fel, hanem az is, ahogy stílusukban visszatükröződik az európai zenekultúra sok évszázados tradíciója.
Our offer
It is probably impossible to summarize this miraculous story of Mowgli, Bagheera who escaped from the cage of the human society, the wise Baloo, the mysterious Kaa or the vengeful Shere Khan. The Jungle Book is about birth and death, solitude and partnership, about the magic of youth – so everything which can happen with a kid who had grown up with wolves.
Not only is the Staatskapelle Dresden one of the oldest orchestras in the world, it is also among the very best, helmed in recent decades by such conductors as Giuseppe Sinopoli, Bernard Haitink, Fabio Luisi and Christian Thielemann.
This two-part concert will present the finest and most diverse aspects of the Belgian jazz scene. The Brussels Jazz Orchestra, Belgian's leading big band, will be uniting its powers with the superb saxophonist Philip Catherine, outstanding guitarist Bert Joris and the distinctive singer David Linx to wow the audience as they perform a programme compiled especially for the Bridging Europe festival.
