Ballet Pécs: Carmina Burana
Carmina Burana is an unavoidable subject, a great task that is nevertheless a wonderful challenge in the career of a choreographer and one that sooner or later draws the creative artist to it. The majesty of the music inspires the choreographer to bear testimony to this self-destructive and mechanised world with an expression of concern for humankind and our common humanity. At the same time, it also celebrates the sanctity of life, glittering with the hope for a better future. It is the acting ability of the dancers of Ballet Pécs, along with their talent as performers, that makes each production of the company so unique and special.

It is probably impossible to summarize this miraculous story of Mowgli, Bagheera who escaped from the cage of the human society, the wise Baloo, the mysterious Kaa or the vengeful Shere Khan. The Jungle Book is about birth and death, solitude and partnership, about the magic of youth – so everything which can happen with a kid who had grown up with wolves.

„Én öngyilkos leszek, anya.” Ezzel a mondattal egy őszinte és zavarba ejtő beszélgetés veszi kezdetét anya és lánya között. Az est folyamán fény derül régi traumákra, kimondatlan vágyakra és eltitkolt hazugságokra is, közben pedig felszínre kerülnek azok a legmélyebben őrzött, ellentmondásos érzelmek, amelyek csakis szülő és gyermeke között feszülhetnek.
