Bartók Reflections | Pure Bartók

Bartók Reflections | Pure Bartók

The series "Bartók Reflections" presents Bartók’s works from new perspectives: an exhibition by Szilvia Szigeti, a Ferenczy Noémi Prize-winning textile artist, the premiere of Mihály Kerényi’s music film based on Bartók’s 14 Bagatelles, as well as several concerts, are all part of the concert and program series taking place in 2026 at the Budapest Music Center, the Bartók Memorial House, the K.A.S. Gallery, and the Kiscelli Museum.

At the evening event held at the BMC, the audience will hear Bartók’s chamber works and folk song arrangements. Although the concert will feature several frequently performed masterpieces, the performing artists aim to make it special through their program curation and by highlighting the folk music sources of the compositions, with some songs even connecting to the folk symbolism of the upcoming summer solstice.
